* It rained earlier, apparently. The grass and fallen leaves are slick and shiny from it; reflected light from the street lamps glints from all over the ground. The sky is a misty, pale color, somewhere between pink and purple. I went to go to sleep and I read a book, as I often do when it's bedtime but I'm not quite sleepy enough yet and need something. Sadly (well, sort of sadly), the book was far too exciting and I had to finish it and now it's 6:50 in the morning and I'm not sleepy at all. Last night, I was in a half-asleep, about-a-third-dreaming sort of state, with my arm stretched out over my head, when someone reached out and grasped my hand.

That startled me right the heck awake, whereupon I realized that it was just my other hand. =)

"Come on, Saturday! You can be better than this!"

Apparently not. Woke up with a contagious-feeling sore throat and a discolored tongue (pale blue, but I imagine the blue part is due to the freezer pop I had last night or something. But the whitish part is distressing).

Meh. Time for sleep and rest and ideally feeling better tomorrow.

Know what's fun?

A fire alarm.

There was no fire, just bad cooking (someone else's), and I'm glad we have the system in place, but it still sucked. It also went for thirteen minutes.
